Rings FAQ
1. Ring Resizing 30 day Guarantee
- If you have ordered a ring but on arrival it doesn't fit, there are several options depending on your ring design.
- Many of the rings in our range are one of a kind and organic in nature around the entire band, with unique continuous textures.
- If your ring does not fit just return the ring within 30 days from the day you received it (you pay the shipping) and we will either resize it if possible, or remake to your correct size, and then return it to you (we pay the shipping)
- If the design has a continuous fluid texture like the Mitsuro Hikime range, Marina will sculpt a new wax as close as possible to the original, however as all these designs are one of a kind there will be slight differences, each one is unique.
2. How are Rings measured?
In Australia we use the British Ring Sizing Scale chart, which runs in Alphabetical order, including half sizes. In the US a different chart is used which runs in numbers. If you know your size in US you can use a conversion chart as below.
3. What is my Ring Size?
Ordering a ring in your correct size is the goal. If you already have your ring size please go ahead with confidence. If you are not sure, or if the ring is a gift, there are several options to find the correct size.
- Print out the pfd file here, place an existing ring over the circles and find the best match.
- Finding the Diameter - Take a ring you know already fits the required finger, place it on a ruler, and measure directly across the exact centre. Mark down the measurements, rounding up or down to the closest millimetre, and if possible take a photo looking straight down with your phone camera.
- Finding the Circumference - cut a strip of paper 8cm by the same width as the ring you are measuring for. For narrow rings use a piece of kitchen string. (The ring band widths are listed on each ring product page.) Wrap around the base of chosen finger where the ring will sit, and pull tightly. Mark with a pen pr pencil where the paper meets, making sure the paper is evenly overlapping. Carefully remove the paper intact, place on a ruler, and measure the millimetres, rounding to the closest whole millimetre.
- In general, the ring should slide snuggly over the knuckle and sit comfortably, not able to slide over the knuckle without help, you want some resistance when pushing the ring over.

4. What time of day should I measure?
- Always measure your ring size in the late afternoon or evening.
Your finger size can change during the day and will also fluctuate depending on how hot or cold they are – your fingers tend to be at their largest at the end of the day. We also recommend measuring your hands when they are at an average temperature for you to give the most accurate size.
5. What size should I choose for WIDE bands?
- For wider bands the shank needs to be a little bigger, so size up by 1/2 a size for any band over 6mm.
6. Ring Sizers
- I supply plastic ring sizers so if you would like to purchase one, they are on the ring page, last product entry.
7. Gold Ring Orders
- Due to the changeable nature and high prices of gold, please be very certain of your ring size before ordering. The best way to be really sure is to get sized in a Jewellery store. They will try on many different ring blanks to find the correct size for you.
