Inspired by my favourite trail in the MTB town of Derby in Tasmania, Australia - 'Hazy Days' !! This trail is one continuous flow from top to bottom, and I know I'm not the only one who loves this trail and a beautiful berm ( the sinuous curves and turns of a mountain bike trail).
Made using the ancient Japanese technique of Mitsuro Hikime, this pendant completely hand made and unique. It first starts in a wax blend of pure Tasmanian beeswax and a dash of pine resin, then it is heated up, pulled out like bubble gum, folded, twisted, folded again, and curved until the trail takes shape. The wax is then lost wax cast into Sterling Silver, and set with a pretty pale blue 5mm Topaz the colour of the sky on a perfect day.
Set onto a sterling silver Belcher chain measuring 40cm, the pendant sits up close and takes a quiet centre stage.
