Plastic ring sizers are reliable and far more accurate than paper printouts. To get the best result, keep these tips in mind:

Wear it for a full day — fingers swell in warmth and shrink in the cold. Wearing the sizer overnight gives you the most accurate reading.

Check your knuckle — the sizer should slide over your knuckle comfortably without being too loose at the base of your finger.

Allow for the material — plastic grips the skin more than smooth metal, so it may feel slightly tighter than your actual ring will.

Consider the band width — wider bands fit more snugly than narrow ones. If you are considering ordering a wider band than the plastic sizer, go up 1/2 a size. 

When in between sizes, size up.
